 It is vacation time, the hot hot months are here and whether you are escaping to the cool holiday destinations or just sweating it out here ...we have the parent-child quiz.

What is it “The India Geography Quiz”?
As  the name suggests it is a quiz on the geography of India. It is open to anyone between 5 and 13 with their parent. 

 Online on telegram
The first phase is online on telegram.  The quiz will be held on all Saturdays beginning 30th  March till 15th June. That is a total of 12 Saturdays. The question will be put up on telegram and all participants will get 30 seconds to type in their answers. A team is required to choose a maximum of 10 sessions. This is an Open Book Quiz that you can take from anywhere. Both parent & child play the quiz together. The actual quiz time is 15 minutes - 15 questions & 30 seconds to answer each question.

 Eg of Question
1. Where is the monument to commemorate King George V trip to India located?
Ans - Mumbai

 2. What is the monument called?
Ans - Gateway of India

 All the answers will be 1 to 3 words.
Eligibility:
·       Minimum Age of Child – 5 years
·       Maximum Age of Child – 13 years.
·       It is a team effort  - Parent & Child Team.
·       Two per team one child (between the ages 5 – 13) and an adult that is 21+

Details
Details of Phase I – the online quiz
1.               The quiz lasts for 15 minutes, it is a time-bound speed quiz. The participants get 30 seconds to answer once the question is put in the group.
2.             The first answer typed and sent to the group is the only valid answer.
3.             There is only one correct answer per question.
4.            Every participant can take part in a maximum of 10  online quizzes.
5.            The topic in each of the quiz is different and is available in the calendar.
6.             Participation certificates (soft copy) for teams that participated in all 10 quizzes.

Quiz 2)   6th April – Historical Places in India - Free
Quiz 3)    13th April – Soil, Climate, Crops & Cash Crops of India - Free
Quiz 4)   20th April –Dances, Music & Folk Art of India
Quiz 5)   27th April – Major Projects (Industries; Power Plants etc)
Quiz 6)   4th May – Rivers & Mountains of India
Quiz 7)   11th May – Flora, Fauna & National Parks of India
Quiz 8)   18th May – Important People of India
Quiz 9)   25th May – Important Festivals of India & Folk stories surrounding it.
Quiz 10) 1st June – Tourist & Famous Places of India
Quiz 11) 8th June – Transport System in India (Roads, waterways, highways, railways, airways etc)

Quiz 12)  15th June – Major Calamities, Volcanoes, Earthquakes & Geographic Activities Beaches, Geysers, Waterfalls etc.
